Brooke's works have sought to present a created "truth"
where the viewer's belief in what they are shown is informed by the trust
they place in the art and museological format. By presenting fictions
or twisted truths in ways that imply historical fact, the work attempts
to play with perceptual notions of Brooke's cultural and social identity.
